I live & Work in Los Angeles, ca
I started my career working as a marketing copywriter at small start-up companies in Austin and LA. Working as a Community Manager, Digital Copywriter, and Marketing Associate, I quickly became a digital marketing Swiss Army Knife. I wrote press releases & articles, I managed social media engagement, created content for every platform, analyzed performance metrics, and directed content strategy.
In the aftermath of the 2020 shutdown I pivoted to work in TV & Film, serving as a Production Assistant in various capacities for The Emmy’s, The Drew Barrymore Show, I Think You Should Leave, The Fabelmans, and Rebel Moon. As a PA, I coordinated logistics for complicated shoots and location scouts and delivered sensitive materials between departments. I also ate a lot of Sweetgreen salads.
At my last full-time marketing job I began producing the company’s podcast. I enjoyed the process so much, I decided to venture out as a freelance podcast producer and video editor. I’ve now produced podcasts in all kinds of niches: sports, comedy, lifestyle/wellness, marketing, therapy, substance addiction, entrepreneurship & more.
Born and raised in Iowa City, Ia.
At UT Austin, where I got my B.A. in English Lit (minor in Español), I wrote for the Texas Travesty, our school’s take on a satirical newspaper like The Onion. I also worked on a comedic student TV show, and contributed prose to various student-run literary journals.
I wrote my Honors Thesis about Jonathan Franzen: how his own fraught public persona has influenced his fiction, the complicated history of literary celebrity, and the rise of Prestige TV as the next step in literary serialized narrative.
Over the past few years I’ve been experimenting with narrative filmmaking in the horror genre. My 2022 film "I Wanna See” screened at the Portland Horror Film Festival, the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, and the SoHo Horror Film Festival.
I’m currently seeking opportunities in content creation, marketing, and film production that synthesize all of my experience and interests.
